The integrity of the Tournament Finder platform is of the utmost importance and therefore we take it very seriously, we are committed to operating it in a respectful, safe, secure, and legal way. To ensure this we have developed these Community Guidelines to outline the types of tournaments, activities, and content that we encourage-and prohibit-on Tournament Finder.

These Community Guidelines are incorporated into the Tournament Finder Terms of service. Terms used in the Community Guidelines and capitalised have the same definitions as that given in the Terms of service
Community Building
Tournament Finder is a place for everyone that shares our passion for tournaments. We want everyone to be excited about our platform as we are and therefore we wish to provide a safe experience for all our tournament loving friends. The following are guidelines to help you ensure that you and Tournament Finder, as well as you and other users have a positive relationship and enjoy using the platform:
Do’s
- Create Tournaments for all kinds of sports
We love all kinds of competition and we hope you do to. We look forward to seeing what you come up with, however, please ensure the safety of your participants by following the rules of the sports governing body and the duristrictions in which the sport is being played.
2. Share Respectful, embracing Content
We encourage all respectful content, we hope that our platform is a home to everyone, for those that would happily identify as normal and boring to the wildest and oddest among you. However, if it’s something the nice old lady down your street would be offended by, then please reconsider your post.
3. Post Self-Generated or Properly Obtained Content
Please use whatever media you think will help promote your tournament providing you have either created it yourself or procured it using appropriate methods. Content that is hateful or explicit in nature, or violates laws regarding ownership should not be posted and will be removed if discovered.
4. Sell Event-Related Merchandise
As our platform grows and includes new features it will become easier to sell event merchandise, feel free to sell with us, but please make sure you are staying within legal rules associated with those items. In addition, only sell merchandise that fulfils the following criteria: you have created or you have a licence or it has been properly made available to you, and therefore your event attendees, for the purpose you have advertised.

Under no circumstances are you to use Tournament Finder platforms to post content or engage in any form of conduct that is in our sole evaluation offensive, harmful, or inappropropriate if viewed by a general audience. nor should any posted content encourage or promote any harmful, violent, or illegal activity or outcome.

Do not Promote Illegal or Inappropriate Activities
Tournament Finder may not be used to facilitate harmful or criminal activity of any kind. You may not create or promote tournaments or posts on the Tournament Finder Services that constitute or promote any of the following, as determined by Tournament Finder:
• Pornography, escort, and any other explicit sexual activity,
- Ingestion or sale of illegal drugs, other illegal nutraceuticals, or substances,
• Cannabis, cannabis-infused products or cannabis samples provided for free, for purchase by the Organiser, or as part of the ticket price, dispensary tours, or attendee sharing of cannabis,
• Illegal gambling activity (whether illegal under any UK or your local laws),
• Activities designed to principally promote any other commercial service or product, such as an “infomercial,” unless the promotion is indicated expressly to all users in a legally sufficient way,
• Unauthorised marketing businesses,
• Any kind of Credit or Credit repair services,
• Activities that intimidate, demean, threaten, harass or express hatred toward any societal group, whether based on ethnicity, race, national origin, religion, gender identity, disability, age, sexual orientation, or veteran status,
• Distribution, sale, or unlawful use of (i) firearms, firearm hardware or parts, and ammunition; or (ii) weapons and other devices designed for the sole purpose to cause physical injury, or
• Organised criminal activity or Terrorist activity.
2. Don’t Post Hateful/Dangerous Content, or Tournaments By Hateful/Dangerous Organisations
It is not permitted to use Tournament Finder platforms to promote or encourage hate, violence, or harassment towards others and/or oneself. Tournament Finder prohibits content or organisations that promotes harassment or hate towards individuals or groups based on ethnic origin or race or, disability, religion, gender, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, nationality, or gender identity. This prohibition extends to promotion in public of this type of prohibited behaviour whether or not specific to the event or content appearing as part of the Services.
3. Do not Post Illegal or Harmful Content
You are expected to respect the other users (individuals, organisations, and groups) that are all part of the Tournament Finder community. The written or other content that you distribute through Tournament Finder may not include the following:
- Any content that is designed to impersonate any person or entity (including and without limitation any public figure or governmental officials; that in any way misrepresents or falsely states your affiliation with any person or entity)
- Content that expresses or implies that Tournament Finder endorses any statement you make without first receiving written consent that explicitly gives permission to do so on an exact individual piece of content.
- Content that promotes or encourages dangerous content or hate (as this document also describes above),
- Content that defames or libels any other person,
- Content that Invades any person’s privacy,
- Content that is protected by trademark, copyright, or trade secret law, unless you have been given the express prior written consent from the owner of such right.
- Content that contains a person’s likeness without their permission,
- Content that harasses, threatens or seeks to intimidate any person (also described above),
- Content that is fraudulent, deceptive or tortious, or
- Do not Engage in Prohibited Sales or Advertising, or Resell Tickets,
Tournament Finder is a platform for organisers of tournaments and their authorised ticket sellers to offer tickets or registration to their own events. It is also acceptable for the organisers to solicit donations to their own causes surrounding the promotion of an event, from the public. Tournament Finder may not be used to sell physical goods (see exception), resell tickets, sweepstakes, administer raffles, contests or games of chance of any nature, or otherwise facilitate the sale of anything other than a ticket or registration for your own event. ( exception: merchandise or accommodations that have been added as an option in tandem and associated with a tournament ticket/registration). You may not use Tournament Finder Services to:
• Extract or collect any information from the Services for any purpose including a commercial purpose, such as to resell information (whether personal or other information), or create a new dataset or service, or
• Transmit or Post any unsolicited advertising, promotional material, “junk mail,” “chain letter,” “pyramid scheme”, “spam,” survey, investment opportunity, or any other form of commercial solicitation (except for sponsored events themselves).
5. Do not Interfere with the Tournament Finder Services
To maintain the integrity and security of Tournament Finder Services, you may not do any of the following:
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Tournament Finder servers or any of the servers or networks that are used to make the Tournament Finder Services available,
• Transmit, post through or release into the Tournament Finder Services a worm, virus, time bomb, Trojan Horse, spyware, cancelbot, rootkit, or other computer code, file, or program that is harmful or that is intended to damage or hijack the operation of, or to monitor the use of, any software, hardware, or equipment,
• Access, or program any technology to access the Services through any robot or “bot,” Scraping or crawling technology, or any other extraction technology (for any purpose), or
• Try to gain unauthorised access to the Tournament Finder Services, computer systems, other accounts, or networks connected to the Tournament Finder Services, through password mining or any other means.
6. Do not Infringe on the Intellectual Property Rights of Others
under no circumstances may you upload or distribute any content on Tournament Finder that you have no right to transmit under any law or fiduciary, or under contractual relationships ( such as inside information, or confidential information or proprietary learned or disclosed as part of a nondisclosure agreement or employment relationship). This may include but is not limited to logos, audio, all images, videos, and all text uploaded on any Tournament Finder Service. You may not do any of the following on the Tournament Finder Services:
Remove any trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights notice from any of the Tournament Finder Services or any material that is displayed by the Tournament Finder Services, or
• Reproduce, copy, duplicate, copy, resell, sell or otherwise exploit for any commercial purposes, any part, portion or aspect of the Tournament Finder Services.
If you believe that you have identified an unauthorised use of your, or an entity you are an agent of, personal intellectual property on Tournament Finder, please follow the process in our Copyright and Trademark Policy.
7. Do not Invade the Privacy of Others
If you require information, be thoughtful and careful of the information you request. You may not use Tournament Finder to collect personal information such as financial information, credit card numbers, or social security numbers. Nor may you use Tournament Finder to collect any information that is not absolutely essential for the running and administration of a tournament and that can not be collected using alternative methods.
Do not Post Explicit Content
Tournament Finder should not be used for pornography, graphic violence or any other graphic content under any circumstance. Any content added including but not limited by images, text, and videos may be removed by Tournament Finder (we reserve this right) or made private to ensure appropriateness for the majority of users. However, we understand that not all nudity is pornographic and many sports include contact, and that certain graphic content may be necessary to emphasize the nature of a tournament on our Services.
How to Make us Aware of Violations (Flag/ Request Review)
We want Tournament Finder to be a safe and respectful community and you can help. If you learn of any content or listing that violates our Community Guidelines or our Terms of Service, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Violations of our Community Guidelines
If Tournament Finder determines that content on the Services violates our Community guidelines or is not in the Spirit of the Tournament Finder community, the content will be removed, additionally we take alternative action that we determine appropriate. If in our sole evaluation content abuses our Services in a serious and severe way then we may remove the content and terminate any and all associated accounts on our Services. Where appropriate we will also work with the appropriate (to our discretion) law enforcement agencies.
